What happens when a mother of a child on the autism spectrum cannot find quality hair care that does not overstimulate, irritate or contain harmful toxins? She makes her own! Honeycomb Hair Care Co. was born out of necessity. As a special needs mother, I have been faced with the challenge of a child who has aversions to noise, textures and odors. Due to sensory aversions, my son, Jonah, cannot tolerate the noise of clippers, nor can he tolerate having his hair cut often. This left me with a child who needs his natural hair cared for, cleaned, styled and combed on a regular basis. While searching for products acceptable for his sensory aversions, I was often frustrated by either ingredients, textures, quality or the cost of natural products. We are also a blended family of five children, all with specific hair care needs.  Often times, I felt so overwhelmed trying to find hair care products for everyone in my family, so I decided to invent my own. My hope is that you and your family will benefit from our products as well as have peace of mind knowing they are made from the best ingredients, from the heart, with love.
